Today,
2.3 billion people live in countries within the 10/40
Window, encompassing Northern Africa, the Middle East,
India, and Southeast Asia. They are among the poorest,
least educated people in the world. Most of them have
never heard the Gospel message once during their lives.
AIMS
believes that holistic ministry (efforts that minister
to the whole person - physically, mentally, and spiritually)
can provide an open door for the Gospel in regions that
might not otherwise accept missionaries. As we mobilize
the national church to reach these frontier regions,
our goal is to help them develop the capacity to deliver
business, education, medicine, and relief to those regions.
With those tools in hand, these national churches can
gain access into villages untouched by the Gospel and
begin a church planting movement within them.
Within
our Equipping for the Harvest model, we have
developed several holistic training seminars and initatives
in business, education, and medicine to help churches
access and more effectively minister to unreached people
groups in their region and beyond. Each
initiative will support the growing vision of mobilization
within our six global epicenters and provide an opportunity
for churches, businesses, and individuals to partner
with what God is doing through these epicenters around
the world.
