Oasis
School Project (Niger)
According
to the United Nations, Niger is the least educated
country in the world. Even though the country
is more than 90% Muslim, parents will pay for
a good education for their child - even if they
have to send their child to a Christian school.
AIMS has partnered with 19 evangelical denominations
in Niger (West Africa) to establish Christian
schools across this country.
The
project will educate Niger's children in a Christ-honoring
atmosphere through 50 multi-purpose schools that
will also be used as Bible Institutes at night.
These schools will employ Nigerien Christians
who are currently unemployed because of their
testimony for Jesus Christ.
Churches
and businesses may sponsor a school, participate
in a short-term trip to assist a phase or the
project, or join AIMS and an African church movement
in a three-way partnership to provide a school
in a region.
