India
Epicenter
With
more than 4,000 unreached people groups, India
is one of the world's largest mission fields. Christians
within this Hindu nation have the opportunity to
minister to people in India and neighboring nations
like Nepal, Pakistan, Bhutan, and Bangladesh whom have
never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The
Nation of India:
In
a nation of 1.3 billion people, more than 50 million
Indians have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ
once during their lifetime. About 300,000 towns and
villages throughout the country have no viable church
presence.
India's
400 million children suffer the most. About 100 million
have dropped out of school and half of those children
live below India's poverty line. These children are
often homeless and live on the streets serving as child
laborers or slaves.
| Vision: |
To
bring closure to the Great Commission by reaching
the largest unreached nation in the world. |
| Strategy: |
Training: mobilize the church by training national
leaders how to network and focus on the least
reached ethnic people groups in India.
Church Planting: help national church networks
to plant churches in people groups where there
are no churches and to help these new churches
plant more churches in other unreached villages.
Holistic Ministry: unite ministries together to
provide medical clinics that will treat adults
and children who cannot afford to visit a doctor
or clinic, purchase food staples like rice for
the many leper colonies, and dig wells for villages
that have no consumable water.
