AIMS Associates Expand Ministry into Six States in India

AIMS News: Posted 10/1/2004

Since February 2003, two AIMS Associates have used AIMS materials to train national pastors in India. Through their efforts, pastors who have completed the training have spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout six states in India.

To date, these two associates have trained 73 full-time pastors working in the Indian states of Kerala, Tamil-Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Orissa. The variety of languages and customs present within these states create difficulty for missionaries and pastors to spread the Gospel. These pastors often use the Jesus film to overcome these barriers.

"The Jesus film is a major tool for Gospel work," said "Pastor Samuel," one of the 73 pastors trained in India. "Villagers gather whole heartedly and listen to the Gospel after the film is shown."

As a result, between January and July of this year, these pastors have led 1,216 people to Jesus Christ.

But our two associates aren't satisfied. "We pray and seek to raise a team of 100 pastors by the end of 2004, so we can reach the other states as well."
