Conference Participants Network
to Reach Muslims Living in Asia
AIMS
News: Posted 6/1/2005
In
March, AIMS joined with the Alliance for Missions Advancement
(AFMA), CBN and Regent University to host its annual
unreached peoples consultation in Virginia Beach. This
year, the theme Breakthrough Among Muslims
brought several mission agencies, church leaders, and
denomin-ations from across the country to hear reports
from missionaries working specifically among Muslims
in Asia.
Several
speakers shared stories about how God is already moving
among Muslims. Many Muslims have experienced dreams
and visions of Jesus Christ. Others desire to know the
one true God and are patiently waiting for someone to
show them the answer.
Prayer
Point: Continue to pray that God will send
missionaries to work among them. Ask God to help them
find "men and women of peace" among the Muslims
who will be able to begin church planting movements.
During
the conference, many of the participants and speakers
formed networks to reach Muslims in the U.S. and abroad.
Others developed strategies to meet and minister to
Muslim women. Several formed an alliance specifically
to minister to people living in regions devastated by
the tsunami last December.
Prayer
Point: Ask God to connect existing prayer networks
with ministries that focus on Muslim outreach. Ask God
to provide opportunities to develop friendships with
Muslim women.
