Today, conferences and meetings almost always require some form of audiovisual equipment. However, this area can also create the most complications. Many conference centers now offer services for audiovisual presentations, but although this can be helpful, it can also become very costly. In the preparation of your budget, decide whether or not to bring in your equipment or rent it from the center.

If your conference will include a large audiovisual segment, be sure to plan a rehearsal - especially if the person operating the equipment has not been part of the presentation before. A rehearsal will also enable you to work with the location of the electrical outlets and allow enough time to secure extra extension cords.
